like the owner of ginger or smth moving the shop back i just said that's scenario planning bc they planned before rivals could tack their place and they share ideas and stuff idk and then i reread it and realised it's probably about the online website but i didn't have time to go back and change the first paragraph😭

Oh I skipped that case study completely forgot it was dere I just talked about how Jonathan pope could face 30% increase cost ......... and they could scenario plan dat...

Was it assess the impact of ethics or assess the importance of ethics?

I talked about access to large amounts of finance refered 250m from venture capital ev still less than plcs like etsy or zara. Second point pay large dividends worsens finance ev investors provide expertise which can be used for decisions to improve finance. Don’t think you can talk about control as they will lose significant control from selling 250 million in shares

I waffled about how limited companies have listed liabilities so harder to get bank loans or favourable interest rates

What did you write for the ethics question

talked about sustainable methods Vinted was using and the charities. My eval was that being ethical normally comes at a higher cost and those shopping on platforms like Vinted normally care about low prices not necessarily the ethics of the business.

guys, would you get capped for unfinished conclusion? for 8, 10, 12 and 20

What did you write for the question assess whether the clothing market is dynamic

spoke about how how firms operate in different countries to maximise efficiency (e.g. Zara in spain for rapid production process) which allows them to cope with rapidly changing trends and customer preference (fast fashion) eval: some luxury brands don't adhere to changing products and innovation due to a strong brand image and inelastic PED for their products (luxury brands - Gucci, Armani etc.)

What did you write for the ethics question

being ethical improves brand image --> people are more environmentally concerned --> 42% of people said they would prefer if products were eco-friendly --> gain loyal customers --> increase sales --> allows for additional funding to invest in innovation in a rapidly changing (dynamic) market to keep up with trends EVAL: being ethical increases costs of production --> investing in sustainable materials is more expensive --> some other waffle

Actually don’t know how it’s physically possible to finish that paper. Left out a 10 marker, as expected. Timing is a joke.

Would like to see the people who make these exams sit them in the time they give its horrific 😭😭 and I even have extra timeand didn't finish so many questions

for the ethics question i wrote about how alot of consumers now care about ethics therefore vinted was able to succeed. For evaluation i said vinted didnt succeed due to ethics but rather the state of economy as ppl were broke (extract said income squeezed) therefore resold and brought 2nd clothing due to affordability.
Do you guys think this is correct? Cause everyone here seem to have took a different approach 😭

Reply 192

I just clocked think I fumbled the vinted clothes qs I thought vinted had their own clothing line and and platform for individuals to sell their clothes.....so for some of my points I talked about how vinted can invest into affordable clothing line and new clothes to match the trend

For the pros i said that ethics works along Vinted aim as a business which is what they’re known for (second hand clothes)- attracts potential customers looking for sustainable fashion.
For evaluation I said that not all customers may be using Vinted due to their sustainability but because it’s a way to make a profit while getting rid of unwanted clothes at a cheaper cost. So they’re not considering ethics but instead a way to make profit meaning that ethics may not be the most important for Vinted s success because this idea of an additional source of income for people can be spread through social media like TikTok which increases buyers and seller

Can this get high marks or is this not answering the question bc I don’t think I spoke about any cons of ethics

It was actually alright uno, I had to sacrifice the second 8 mark question to do the 10,12 and 20

No trolling please, anyone got any serious answers. Surely after that shocker of a paper it will be similar to 2023. Also, 2023 wasn't affected by covid so why why should it be higher this year??
