Module selection - maths or management

Hi! I’m just selecting my modules for next year and we have an option to do a course from our school of management or do an additional maths module for data science. Does anyone have any recommendations which would be better for future employability? (I do biochem btw)

Both options can significantly enhance your future employability, but it depends on your career goals and interests.
1. School of Management Course: If you're interested in pursuing roles that involve leadership, project management, or business development within the field of biochemistry (such as pharmaceutical management or biotech entrepreneurship), a course from the school of management could be valuable. It can provide you with skills in strategic thinking, decision-making, and team management, which are highly sought after in many industries.

1.

Additional Maths Module for Data Science: On the other hand, if you're interested in delving into data analysis, bioinformatics, or computational biology, the additional maths module for data science would be extremely beneficial. With the rise of big data in the field of biochemistry, proficiency in data analysis and machine learning techniques is becoming increasingly important. This module can equip you with the quantitative skills necessary to excel in these areas.

Consider your long-term career aspirations and which skill set aligns better with those goals. Additionally, you could also consider speaking with academic advisors or professionals in the biochemistry field to gather more insights and advice tailored to your specific career path.
