Dental hygiene and therapy course

Hello,

I am wanting to apply for a degree to become a dental hygienist, however a lot of these course seem to be integrated with dental therapy. Can anybody tell me if whilst studying one of these course do you choose your specialism or do you have to learn to do both?

For example hygienists do not have to do primary teeth extractions, but therapists do.

hey im a dht applicant for 2024 entry but basically if you are studying dental hygiene with dental therapy then youre gonna have to learn the therapy aspect of it too but ofc once youve qualified, you can practice as whichever you want
