Deferring after receiving offers (but have not made choices)?

I am a mature student currently doing an Access to Higher Education Diploma. I applied to UCAS with the intent of beginning an undergraduate degree this autumn, however, after a long period of ill health that forced me to quit my job and also led to me getting behind on my course, it has become clear that it simply isn't possible, fiscally or otherwise, for me to begin this year. I will not be able to work very much during my degree and at a certain point, taking on more hours at a job will have a negative impact on my education.

As a result, I'd like to defer and be able to work and save for another year. The deadline for my Access course is not until next February and I feel confident I will meet it. I have received offers from all 5 of my choices but have not yet selected my firm and insurance choices. I intend to email the universities I've received offers from to ask for their advice, but wanted to know whether anyone had more insight on whether this would be possible or whether I will need to cancel my application altogether and reapply next year?
To hold a deferred offer from a 2024 cycle application you would need to meet your offer conditions by the end of August 2024 (or with permission the middle of October). If you won’t complete your Access Diploma until February 2025 then you will need to reapply in the 2025 cycle.

Speak to your universities and explain the situation and ask if they are willing to give you confirmation in writing that they would reinstate your offer if you reapply in the next cycle.
