Modern languages at Glasgow question

Hi DD has an offer for Glasgow uni for French and Spanish. She’s heard though that the focus for languages at Glasgow is quite classical literature based and she’s not sure if that’s the focus she would want for her languages degree.

Can anyone confirm if the course content is heavily based on classical literature pls?

TIA
Hello!

Apologies for not being able to offer personal experiences of the language courses at the University of Glasgow, but more information on the French and Spanish programme structures can be found here:
https://www.gla.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/french/
https://www.gla.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/spanish/

The "Course Details" tab gives a bit of insight into the kinds of modules offered on the courses (although these may change year to year). As demonstrated, the courses cover a wide range of cultural and political topics depending on a student's interests, pursuits and entry level.

I hope this helped!
