Hi there,
Happy to hear you are considering Leicester for Business and Management. I am a current student at Leicester and would be happy to share my own experience at Leicester to help your YP make a decision.
Student experience: The university offers us so many different things to get involved in to make our university experience enjoyable, there are societies that we can get involved in, there 200+ societies at Leicester which are student led and run events on campus or arrange some trips off campus. I joined a few societies and made a lot of friends though it. There are also an opportunity to play sports socially or more competitively.
Good education: The Business and Management are accredited with ILM, meaning you gain ILM’s Level 4 Award in Leadership and Management as well as your degree. The six Entrepreneurs in Residence and the Leicester Innovation Hub are here for you to discuss your enterprising ideas and to give you an insight into start-up business planning.
Also Business and Management, Marketing and Human Resource Management degrees all have the same first year so you can switch your course at the end of year one, tailoring your degree to your strengths and interests.
Good nightlife: There is an O2 Academy in the Students' Union that hosts many gigs and events, the local Odeon cinema, our own arts centre Attenborough Arts and De Monfort Hall
You're also close to the clubs, pubs, bars and venues of the city centre, including the Curve theatre, the Showcase De Luxe cinema and Phoenix Arts.
Personally I have had an amazing time at Leicester, have you had a chance to visit our campus yet?
