As a Acer laptop owner, only good experiences here! Horrible experiences w/ chromebooks or macs, but this Acer does everything! As a gamer & illustration artist, it's easily able to handle multiple things that I feel other computers have lacked in being able to smoothly run. The weight of my laptop is also pretty much nothing, meaning it's great for studying in class, at home, or even at cafes!

Plenty of options to be honest. If you want to play games, then you are probably better off looking at laptops with dedicated graphics cards. They are usually more expensive though.

An Acer Aspire 7 15.6in i5 8GB 512GB RTX2050 is around ~£700, if you can spare a bit more money you could go with
Acer Nitro 5 12 G 15.6in i5 16GB 512GB RTX3050. The higher memory could be very useful for the programs you mentioned and also a better GPU, which would be my recommendation.

If you can give up gaming then probably you could get a i7 cpu with card that is certified by Cad and stuff. Also, I'm also curios on why Acer? There are other brands out there that are also good.

I would go with Nitro for sure and not the Aspire. Yeah, Nitro 7 is even better but more £££. I'd say it's very difficult for a laptop to last for 10 years this time around. There's been soo much technical advancement and it's exponential.

Any laptop you pick, I'd would go with a minimum of 16Gb ram, 256Gb SSD, and i5 CPU (at least, but i7 even better), and of course if gaming is required then a video card in the middle range with a nice chipset,

Yeah, they should be fine from a trusted source with warranty. Otherwise, you'd have to be careful, it's up to you to make sure everything works.

Only study law if you actually want to go into it because it’s challenging as HELL, last years passers at my college had not a single A or B grade, most got C, D or E.
