Hi is anyone else still waiting to hear back from Lipa? I auditioned in feb and still have heard nothing. Just wondering if i should take this as a rejection
Hello! So after the deadline passed and after I sent two emails, my daughter received an email to say she did not get a place for the Acting MT course. If I hadnt persisted, we would have heard nothing. Why wait 18 weeks to reject someone and just keep them waiting and waiting. So much for applying early in November! LOL Anyway, I just want to say congrats to all that got a place at LIPA and I'm sure it will be an amazing experience! My daughter has now accepted her place at GSA for the MT foundation (only 20 places) and is thrilled to be going there! Very proud of her that she got 4 offers out of 5 (two BA degree and 2 foundation offers) on her first run at this, and hopefully now she can really focus on the rest of her A levels! We will be back at it no doubt for next years battle!
Awww well done to your daughter and I’m sure she will absolutely love her time at GSA. Good luck to her for her future auditions. This is a great start! And thank you ☺️
My son had an email about 5pm last night. He's been offered a place...on the Foundation Screen Acting course for one year. Not what we were expecting and it felt almost backhanded, especially as it means reapplying for the degree next year with no guarantee of actually being accepted. But after a couple of hours deliberating and talking to his LAMDA tutor and other Uni friends, he's decided to accept the offer. Mixed bag of emotions!
Exactly the same as my son. He will be starting in September. We have just been navigating this whole drama school world this year, it has been challenging but we go again next year and hopefully with an extra year experience it may be easier. I suppose this is their life! I feel LIPA foundation will be great for him he is not 18 yet so still so young. Good luck and I am sure their paths will cross x

Congratulations to him! If he looks at the thread on here: LIPA BA Musical Theatre 2024 there are a few (including my daughter) who are starting performance courses in September. She’s doing BA MT but it’d be good for them all to have some friendly faces on different courses

Congratulations to your son! 🥰 We feel the same way, the extra year's experience will be a fantastic opportunity for them to gain as much knowledge as they can about life in a drama school! This is my son's second attempt at LIPA, having taken a year out after being unsuccessful last year. But I definitely think it will do him the world of good to have his independence and make friends with like-minded people! I'm sure he will bump into your son at some point and will be swapping stories about this crazy journey! 😁

It looks like our sons may be on the same course, is it for Stage and Screen? I agree it would be nice if they made contact with others before they start so they can get to know a couple of people and share ideas/thoughts about accommodation, the course, etc. We've put my son's name down for Cathedral Campus so just waiting to hear back. Hopefully will find out sometime this week?! 🤞🏼
Hi All, My son has been offered a place on Foundation for screen and acting. He’s not 18 yet either and it would be great for him to get to know some people before he started.

Hi all yes we ned to convert this from the Parent Room to the Student Room ! , I will encourage my son to start another thread , he appears to have plenty of time for social media though he does have 3 A-level exams this week
