y's gyg to FINALLY become an "academic weapon" b4 yr12 mocks

i stumbled upon gyg literally 30mins ago and it seems like a really great way to attempt to force myself to study!
general stuff ab me: I love reading (Inheritance Game series, Mazerunner, etc), i watch loads of TV shows, i like to (attempt to) bake stuff, and going for walks!

for context, I'm a year 12 student currently studying maths, bio and chem. i aspire to apply for Medicine, but i have to fix my work ethic for that to be possible. my grades... aren't so good rn. we had a mock in Nov, and i got BCB respectively. i haven't been motivated coming into my A-level journey, and i do the bare minimum, despite having been a good student beforehand. it's sad cause I'm disappointed when I get Bs and Cs but i expect to get As without revising

i have mocks in late june, after the (poor :frown:) year 13s leave. this gives me 10 weeks ish to get myself up to A grade standard. this is so i can be predicted A*s for my subjects for UCAS.

over this first week of easter, I've been focusing more on biology and maths seeing as they are my worst 2 subjects of the 3. I've been doing bio content using Anki flashcards and answering past paper questions on AS maths.

over my next week, i aim to do much more seeing as Ramadan is ending soon (eid mubarak!) and I would like to complete ppqs across my subjects and full papers hopefully.

i'll be checking in daily, documenting what I manage to do  i'd love to make some study friends, so feel free to DM <3

study mechanics - especially connected particles & pulleys (my nightmare)

make more biology flashcards on Exchange 3.3 onwards (yikes) and do more bio hw

start my organic chem hw (i hate organic rn, i need to start memorising all the mechanisms)

09/04/24 update

only managed to do some mechanics work unfortunately, did around 1h30 of connected particles questions from the textbook and watched related TLmaths vids on yt. i was really busy today, and i had to do loads of chores but it's fine cause its eid tmrw, and i'm so excited to see family and eat loads of food!

random thought: what came first, the chicken or the egg? if u ask me it must have been the chicken...

there's an asap science video for this !!!! with the way evolution works, it would have been the most recent common ancestor of chickens and their most closely related species laying an egg, from which the first chicken hatched, that egg is the first chicken's casing so it's the egg before the chicken
