Student finance for Pre-Settlement Status applicant for BSc Nursing

Hello.
I*wanted*to*know*if*I'm*eligible*for*the* Maintenance loan and NHS LSF*as*I*am*applying*for*BSc*nursing*degree*but*I*have*pre-settled*status,and BSc adult nursing is my second degree and I am a family member of an EU national. So*I*wasn't*sure*if*it*meets*the*criteria*as*I*might*not*be*eligible*for*maintenance*loan*from*student*finance.*however,*I*heard*that*I*can*apply*as*a*migrant*worker*or*the*family*member*of*the migrant*worker.*Can*someone*please*clarify*this*for*me? Am I eligible for a maintenance loan?
Thanks

Hi there,

What nationality are you and is it EU pre-settled status you have? How old are you and what family member is an EU national? Can you confirm the name of the university you will attend and the duration of the course?

Thanks, Drew

Hi there. Is your father living and working in the UK? Are you financially dependent on your father? Thanks, Leah.

My father is living in the UK with me and he's working. I'm not dependent on him.My question is since I have applied my BSc Adult Nursing degree as a second degree, and I have a degree named Bachelor Medicine and Surgery, am I eligible for student finance and Will the student finance company count nursing and medicine degrees as similar degrees.?

Hi Rafsan. Just to confirm, did you previously have funding with us for the first course you studied (Bachelor Medicine and Surgery)? What funding were you approved for? If not, did you self fund all of your previous study so far? Thanks, David.

Hi, David.
No, this is the first time, I have been applying for funding. I did my previous degree ( Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) by self-funding and I did all my previous studies by self-funding. Currently, for this BSc Adult Nursing course on Sep 24, I am applying for Tuition fee-only loan.
Thanks.

Okay thank you. Adult Nursing is considered as an exception course so you would be eligible to receive funding for this course even if you have already studied and gained a qualification in medicine. Thanks, David
