GCSE subject choice

I am worried that my GCSE subject choice my be deemed as to easy by top universities such as Imperial for business. Im mid way through studying for my GCSEs and they are Maths, Further Maths, English lit, English lan, Spanish, Chemistry, Business, Computer science, HPQ, Art and Food Tech (which are the 2 subjects that may be looked down upon by top universities)

Are you doing single award science?
Art GCSE is definitely not looked down upon… food tech is I guess seen as an easy GCSE and it’s not really academic, but since you have all those other subjects it literally doesn’t matter. They don’t care about GCSEs that much. It’s your a level choices that would actually matter. If you are still worried just choose something else instead of food tech? However lots of people do it and its not something they will judge.
Hello. Thanks for the reply!... no i'm not doing a single award science, i'm doing one science (Chemistry) as an entirely separate subject xx

Not at all - GCSEs choices dont matter as much - they just want you to do decent in them.
Good luck 🙂

Don't worry about the subjects you pick at GCSE as universities only care about the grades you get in them especially Maths and English (and maybe science if you're going into that field).
