gay people at warwick/coventry

i want to study at warwick uni in coventry but i am wondering how gay people are treated in that area. im not one of them people who walk around dressing in rainbows and skirts but i am quite feminine so my homosexuality is noticable (in thinks like my voice and walk but i try to minimize it when i can or need to lol).

i was just wondering, if you are or know of any gay people, how is life like for them in that area. pls give me the hard truth on whether i am safe/will live bc im not trying to lose my life before my first lecture xx

i tried to word this as best i can so lmao

It's like every rural place for LGBT people because it's not in a big city it's not the best place for feeling like you belong iykwim.I think you should be fine since it's a university and obviously you'll find other queer people in the community
im at warwick and in a queer relationship , never felt uncomfortable about it - i was actually surprised and expected a bit more prejudiced behaviour. I think it's definitely about the kind of people you surround yourself with (my friends are all art / english / drama etc ) which tends to feel very accepting (sorry to generalise but it does make a big difference !) overall I'd say go for it 🙂
