Oxford PhDs question

So starting in September, I will be starting a Masters in Cultural Studies. Now from my current reading and research, I can already tell that the Masters program won't be enough time for all that I wish to explore in this area, as I have become extremely interested in the subject and it seems a very broad and far reaching area of study, to the point of me having desires to maybe do a Phd In Anthropology at Oxford potentially, as that seems to be the most recommend institution for the subject.

Now this is planning ahead but I feel I want a long-term plan. The subject may change (English literature is another possibility) however, I am confident that a Phd is something I shall still want to pursue in two years time.

I'm just wondering how strict Oxford sticks to it's course entry requirements. As my undergraduate degree was in Graphics Design & Illustration, with a 2:2. It seems that Oxford (and many other universities) look at both your Masters and Undergraduate degree marks. So even if I achieve the desired (or higher) grade in my master's, does my undergraduate degree block me from Oxford and other PhD courses? Even though my undergrad degree is unrelated and completed 6 years ago> (8 years by the time of applying for a Phd)

I think it would depend more on your master’s results and the actual research proposal. If the research is new and exciting any prof anywhere would likely be interested in supervising you.
