No offer up to now

Hi all.
My daughter came from Hong Kong and started year 12 here and now she is in year 13 and just applied the university this year. As she don’t have GCSE/IGCSE just only have the predicted grade for A-Level and maybe she applied all the universities in London so she rejected by three and two remaining still don’t have any feedback. May I know what can she do in this moment? Or just wait the clearing after have the actually A Level result? I am worried she missing something to do. Please help!

hi! i think your daughter applied to university too early if she only did year 12 this year. you're supposed to submit UCAS applications during year 13 as far as i'm aware. Wait for her AS exam results (summer exam results) and try again because i really think you applied too early for her age. if you apply for university for september 2025, you submit UCAS after september 2024. obviously do wait for someone else to reply because that's as far as i'm aware, but i hope she does well in her exams!

Anyone have idea what she can do in this moment? Or just only wait for clearing with the actual a level result? Her predicted grade is A*A*A. I just worried she missing something need to do in this moment.

She can try going through clearing but a better option, if she gets good in her A levels would be to take a gap year and reapply to good/better universities next year. If she had any qualifications from Hong Kong, she should have had the option to enter it in iirc. I know someone who also came to UK in year 12, and they have offers from QMUL and Birmingham (CS), so her coming from Hong Kong shouldn't have been a problem for her university application, assuming she completed her UCAS application correctly.
