Hi both, this is the University of Aberdeen rep account. First of all congratulations to you on both your offers! I just wanted to come in with some advice I hope will be helpful.
It's certainly worth thinking about the cities and what appeals to you. Do you want to be close to or far away from home, do you want to be in a big or small city, are there things/places in that city that you're interested in or will be good for any hobbies you have; those sorts of factors should definitely be on your mind as well as the actual courses of each of the universities.
Then it would be worth having a look on each of our websites to see what appeals to you about the courses eg. course content, projects you will get to do through your degree, prospects upon graduation, that sort of thing.
I will say that I very much come down on the side of choosing based on personal factors more than career prospects (I feel that thinking you've made the right decision for yourself and your enjoyment of your university time is really important) but it is an entirely fair concern that you worry about traineeships post graduation.
If you're both leaning towards studying in Edinburgh, it may be worth seeing if you can get in contact with Napier/if they have any services for contacting graduates to see if they're able to share their experiences to help give you a better idea of if you will have any difficulties with traineeships.
I hope this information has been useful and all the best with coming to a decision! Do just let me know if you have any more questions about Aberdeen I can help with.
