18% turnitin

I just got an 18% turn it in score and its just showing a few sentences being highlighted but not huge blocks is it anything to worry about?

Your markers will surely check what sentences are being highlighted, and 18% isn't something I would worry about.

As long as you know you haven’t plagiarised in any way I wouldn’t worry, 18% isn’t too big, and I’m guessing they are fairly commonly used sentences for your subject?

Hi there,

It's important to remember that a similarity score of 18% on Turnitin means that 18% of the text in the work you submitted matches text in other sources. But it's essential to understand that this score alone does not automatically constitute plagiarism.

An acceptable Turnitin percentage is typically below 25% and it shows that your paper is original and well-supported by the provided sources.

If you're still concerned, make sure to reach out to your tutors or mentors who can directly address your worries.

I hope I managed to help!

Best of luck,
