Rutherford Appleton Laboratory Work Experience - ACCOMODATION (harwell campus)

Hello, fine people of the world!
I was wondering whether there was,
a) anyone who has been on a Rutherford Appleton Laboratory Work Experience - how you did you find it?
b) anyone who is going on the work experience this year (and whether they'd want to team up with me to find accom)
c) anyone who lives near Harwell campus/Harwell/Didcot who has a spare bedroom and is looking to make a little bit of extra cash over the summer

which projects did you apply for at Daresbury laboratory?

In regards to Daresbury, I ranked the Accelerator Science and Technology Centre (ASTeC) Department as number 1, Technology Nuclear Physics as number 2 and Technology *Detector Systems as number 3. Within that, I was interested in the:
Accelerator Diagnostics and Instrumentation Technician Project,
Electrical Engineering Project,
Mechanical Design Engineering Project 2,
Technical Engineering Project,
Vacuum Science Technician Project.
They all sound super cool though, and if by some miracle I get a place there as well I would be happy doing anything! What about you, what projects did you apply for?

Within these I was interested in the Machine Learning and Data Analysis Project, Technical Engineering Project, and the Computer-Aided Design and Engineering Project. However, I most want to do the Machine Learning and Data Analysis Project, so tbh I based all of my longer answers around that

Yes, I applied to Cambridge (ofc I didn't get in ahha), Durham (my firm), Lancaster (might be my insurance), Exeter (also might be my insurance), and Royal Holloway (I have no feelings for rhul), to study a Masters in Physics!! I'm incredibly excited to start! That is, if I get the grades LMAO

i'm sorry to hear that, they probably don't give people placements at more than one location
somehow i did receive a placement, and i'm very excited to start!

they did not tell me, but they told me it is in the hartree centre, so i assume it is the machine learning and data analysis one which i wanted!

i just got offered a placement at Rufferford after being rejected like two weeks ago!!
