I looked at
https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/undergraduate/courses/med/dental-surgery#EntryRequirementsTab no
https://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/2025/dentistry/bds-dentistry/ No, need 7 in maths
https://www.cardiff.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/course/dental-surgery-bds No
https://www.qub.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/dentistry-bds-a200/#entry ? They assign points to GCSE’s to help filter candidates
https://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/medicine/dental/undergraduate/academicentryrequirements/#gcse%2Falevels No

Yes Leeds!!

GCSE: A minimum of 6 GCSEs at Grade 6/B or higher including Chemistry, Biology (or Dual Science), English and Maths.

I will continue this.
Yes KCL
https://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/dentistry-bds
‘Applications are ranked based on GCSE/IGCSE performance, UCAT score and contextual information.
You would need to score highly on the UCAT to compensate for the GCSE’s.

Yes QMUL!
https://www.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/coursefinder/courses/2024/dentistry/#entry-requirements
‘Six GCSEs at grades 777666 (AAABBB pre 2017) including Biology, Chemistry, English Language or English Literature and Mathematics.

Yes Newcastle
https://www.ncl.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/a206/
‘GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) required at grade 4/C or above.’

Yes Plymouth
https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/bds-dental-surgery/entry-requirements
‘Applicants need to achieve 7 GCSE passes (grade C/grade 4 or higher) which must include the following subjects:
English Language
Mathematics
Two Science subjects - either GCSE Double Award Science or two from single award Chemistry, Biology, or Physics’

You can only apply to 4 dental schools. Excluding KCL, we have 4. I will check if they use it to help rank applicants or not, with the UCAT. Although the only thing you can do now is to get a great score on the UCAT, as the UCAT has a far more important weighting.
