mauufey v a-levels gyg 2024 🌺🍵

HALLO!
i'm a Y13 making my first gyg to help motivate me for these dreaded a-levels

my grades currently: Criminology (B) - hoping for an A
Politics (C) - also hoping for an B
Law (C)-.... also hoping for an B

yes I am a very average student and I’m praying that I get good a level results! but it is always when it comes to my exams that I don’t do well…. (especially politics)

I hope some out there can help me and we can all help each other in getting our grades up before EXAM SEASON!

no worries, I still can offer some general advice rather than specifically about edexcel:

EXAMPLES!!!!! I cannot stress how important examples are - basically shows your understanding of topics in a real world context. I recommend making a document or flashcards with examples for every topic and constantly revise and update them. The highest scoring answers are generally the ones that include lots of examples

Source questions - use as much of the actual source as you can in your analysis, otherwise you won't be able to reach the higher levels of the mark scheme. When doing sources, I tend to highlight quotes in each one and assign 'matching' ones the same colour and makes it easier when I come to writing my actual answer. This is the structure I tend to use for sources that have 2 sources:

Introduction

provenance - who wrote the source? purpose of the source? etc.

para 1 - source 1

para 2 - source 2

para 3 - source 1

para 4 - source 2

conclusion

All questions - PEAL/PEEL (Point, Evidence, Analysis/Explain, Link back) is a good way to organise your answers and will make your analysis clearer for the examiner, showing that you deserve high marks

Revise the content often - seneca learning has an Edexcel politics course too, Ive found the seneca AQA course helpful for summarising content quickly

hey guys,
so the past few days
- I did some politics essay plans and it’s kind of there to see my weakness in some stuff and etc
- I don’t do any crim revision cause my unit is technically law and politics mashed together so I’m already doing revision for it

yeah that’s it pretty boring
