help w my epq title pls :-)

hey so i haven’t started it yet so no rush but pls could you guys give me some ideas or advice as to what the title for this epq could be and what strands i should explore?

basically i wanted to write about the cost differences between nhs dentistry and private dentistry and thus the differences in treatments the patients receive, and how it’s kinda unfair ? idk something to do w ethics and how every patient regardless of how much they can pay should get the same top quality treatment for their oral hygiene. lmk if this is **** and flawed. thanks!

hey! This is definitely a good topic to explore, especially since the whole private vs public is a really topical issue at the moment. However, I think you should definitely branch out your perspective and look at different areas for example, the benefits that private dental healthcare has had even with its ethical issues. Do some basic research to see if there is enough for you to actually discuss and argue both sides. I would also recommend potentially researching the next steps which would also be part of your dissertation. As in, how do we tackle this issue? Because from my knowledge both private and public sectors have drawbacks and benefits so what would be the ultimate path to take? That would add to your dissertation, and definitely give you more material to explore! But definitely only choose a topic if you really are interested in that and have a deep interest in it because you don’t want to get bored along the way.

Overall, my best advice:
Make sure you do some basic research on your topic area so that you find out that you have atleast enough material to discuss in your dissertation

If there is too much material on your topic, try narrow it down and make your topic area more niche. For example, instead of just doing an EPQ on cars, do it on Ford or something(I’m ngl idk anything about cars).

I can’t emphasise how much you should definitely pick a topic you are passionate about, as much as that sounds cliche. Trust me, you have to have a deep interest, not just surface level.

Let me know if you have anymore questions! I feel like my response was too vague 😭
