UCL accommodation portal issues

Anyone else having issues logging in to the UCL accommodation portal?

Every time I try to log in to the portal it states 'It's not been possible to log you in to the UCL Accommodation Portal'....

Been almost a week since I firmed my offer and the status on portico is updated to 'firmed'.

I emailed IT almost a week ago and they still haven't got back to me and every time I call the accommodations department they seem to have no agents available and it hangs up immediately.

Getting quite frustrating at this point especially seeing as accom is apparently first come first serve.

Email the accommodation department. They will generate a ticket for you and will respond within 5 days.

Already did, IT replied after 5 working days saying they're looking into it and will update me when it's resolved. Been almost another week now and I've still not heard anything. Pretty frustrating considering they will have allocated 2 weeks worth of accommodation slots in the meantime.
I have seen a lot of people complaining about this issue on Reddit as well. Hopefully IT will resolve the issue soon. Portico was being updated last week so maybe that is causing a delay as well.

I had issues as well.
Are you sure your password is exactly 8 letters and it needs at least 2 number and 2 capital letters or 2 special characters.
But just check it's exactly 8 characters
Hi, in the same position, managed to talk to an advisor. He said that the portal is currently not registering any acceptances of offers, so won’t allow access. Apparently the system is currently overrun with people having the same issue, which is why there have been no responses. Hopefully it gets resolved soon!

Yes I've checked and it is. I also have no issues logging in to portico so it looks like it is just an issue with the accommodation portal.

Hi, thanks for this info. Yh I did a little digging and I thought this was the problem - the SAML reponse doesn't seem to be working properly indicating the accom system doesn't think we've firmed our offers / should have access - frustrating that it's out of our control. Do you know if its an issue for everyone trying to access the portal atm or can some people still get through? Would be really bad if spaces were getting allocated to some whilst others can't log in 😕
I’m pretty sure it’s everyone that has accepted their offer recently! (not sure how recently though haha)

Hi, I've been having the exact same issue for a week now it's so frustrating!! Are you still not able to access it and if it gets resolved for you can you let me know?

Still not able to access it and still no response from the IT department - been over a week again now. If they don't update me by Tuesday I'm going to call directly and demand they update me / resolve it on the spot.

You can basically see from the URL before it redirects you that they use an SSO setup which uses SAML to verify if a user should be allowed access to the accom portal.

I saw another forum user from a couple of years ago with the same problem and the exact same error message page - turns out they had put UCL as their insurance and thought they could still select an accom

I can see however that portico has updated that I’ve firmed my offer so clearly there’s an issue between the UCL server and the accom portal server (which is run by a different company) so the accom portal thinks I shouldn’t be allowed access as it can’t see that I’ve firmed my offer - this is backed up by what the user said in original message that I replied to - “the portal is currently not registering any acceptances of offers, so won’t allow access”

Annoyingly I don’t think there’s anything we can do about it from our end and the IT department seem to be taking ages to fix it

When did you apply for accommodation if you don't mind me asking? Portal still isn't working for me either.

Applying for accommodation. Haven’t been able to login to the at all portal since firming my offer.

I'm having the same problem logging in. Put in an application at the end of March. Just wondering, did you receive the offer for accommodation via email, since you can't log in either?

No I haven’t received an offer for accommodation since I haven’t even been able to apply for it yet. The portal hasn’t worked even once since I firmed my offer at the start of April.

Have you tried it now. It wasn't working for me as well last week but it's working now.
