You mean an internship that would result in full registration? Not in the UK, no. UK medical schools do not organise internships. Unfortunately, the only way you can practice medicine in the UK with a provisional license, is in an FY1 post allocated as part of UKFPO.

Are you an IMG? Did you apply for UKFPO? Not sure if what you’re seeking is possible elsewhere in the world— it’s an unusual situation.

Yes. I am IMG and I would like to do internship in foreign countries not in UK. May I know which countries accept UK provisional registration ?

I don’t know the answer to your question, sorry.
If you’re an IMG then probably the more pertinent question is going to be whether other countries accept the medical qualification you have, from whatever country you have obtained it. It probably won’t be relevant to them whether or not you have any registration with the GMC. If you’re wanting to do an internship with the intention of obtaining full UK GMC registration, then you’d need to liaise carefully with the GMC to see whether they would accept whatever you eventually intend to do. Is there no possibility of doing an internship wherever you obtained your primary medical qualification?

Thank you so much for clarifying. It helps me a lot. I will think about doing internship only in my own country.
