UAL foundation year 2024/2025 diagnostic

hi! i'm a home student and applied for the 24/25 ual foundation at lime grove campus. sent my portfolio in on the 11th of march, and got the mistaken interview email but that's all so far- is anyone else in a similar boat and holding an offer/rejection? i'm terrified of hearing back but also desperate to know when i might!

I'm in the exact same position 😭 I ATTENDED an interview and I thought it went well, and then they sent me the mistaken interview email. Very odd.

Regardless, I'm just waiting to hear back since they have only given specialist students responses so far!!

oh my gosh, you attended an interview?? that's so crazy seeing as they said they wouldn't hold any in the follow-up email, but at least it went positively! did they say anything about it to you afterwards?

Just a bit of speculation, but did you happen to attend the UAL Insights programme? I know someone who applied who was a part of the programme and attended an interview as well

Yes I did!! Omg that would make sense, because in UAL insights they mention that if you go to insights you get a guaranteed interview (doesn't guarantee that you get onto the course tho).

She said that I seemed very confident in my answers and that she just had to review my portfolio again before considering my offer. That's good and all but it's kind of a waste if they're not considering interviews 😭

That's still a very positive response from your interviewer!! They say applications are regarded equally irrespective of whether people have done the interview or not, but it probs still influences their decision somewhat (so you have a good shot for sure)

They probs meant for all other applicants other than participants of the Insights programme (they must've ommitted it for a reason, who knows ;- :wink:
