Can unis reject you before summer results day?

I did some of my international a levels in January (only AS level) however they didn’t go well. i got an offer from my first choice, even though i’m retaking these exams in summer (may/june) will they reject me before i get these results because i did badly in January?

then your universities know that you will have more results in the summer and shouldn't reject you

if they do then it may be an error
