The Student Room Group

Employer needing recruitment advice

I represent a small tech consultancy in Buckinghamshire, and we're currently seeking a part-time, remote team member. The role is still evolving, but the primary responsibilities are expected to include:

1.

Generating leads by acquiring contact details (email addresses, phone numbers, and names) for prospective clients.

2.

Engaging with potential clients to pitch our services or schedule them for a meeting.

3.

Enhancing our business's marketing and sales framework by developing efficient systems and processes.

4.

Crafting cyber-related articles for our WordPress site and creating content for LinkedIn.

We anticipate the workload to be around 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Ideally, the content creation process should be automated to some extent.
Candidates should be self-starters, capable of independent thinking and problem-solving, as formal training won't be provided. They'll need to communicate their needs effectively and be proactive in addressing any issues. While we're committed to supporting their role in business development, they should be adept at basic professional tasks like client communication and email correspondence without direct instruction.

I'm seeking insights on the following:

What's a reasonable hourly rate for this position?

Is this role suitable for a university student?

Is a 20-hour workweek practical for this job?

Are there any other considerations or details I might have overlooked?

This isn't the actual job advert so please don't apply.
