They deffo don’t care as combined science is all that some schools offer. For unis, as long as u do a couple of science Alevels that’s all they want and they will mainly base their desisions on Alevel predicted grades
Oh , so they don't really care bout my gcse grades?
Sort of but gcses are a good indicator on how well u would do in those subjects for Alevel and you still want to be aiming for top grades in the subjects that you want to do for Alevel (i assume stem subjects). Oxford and Cambridge may care more about GCSE grades than some of the others so deffo try and do well. Your Alevel predicted grades will be the most important factor in determining which unis want u and it definitely doesn’t matter with gcse options (like if u do languages/humanities or if u do separate or combined for science). After doing combined science gcse and taking science based Alevels, you would have just as much knowledge as someone who took separate science for GCSE
