I can't pick between Sheffield or Liverpool?

I will be doing architecture at liverpool or landscape and architecture dual at sheffield but i really don't know which to pick and i finally got all my offers back.

i think i prefer sheffields course and accommodation and the peak district, but i prefer liverpool as a city and i know someone who is going there. i think im leaning towards sheffield but liverpool offered me aab instead of aaa, either way i just have no idea and was wondering if anyone has any advice about which one they think is better and why? thanks

To rule this one factor, do not choose a uni based on knowing someone who goes there.
If you are leaning towards sheffield, and they have a higher grade entrance anyway, you could do sheffield first, liverpool insurance.
Definitely look at modules and see if they have any students you can chat to for example here https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/study/chat/ or https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/study/chat to see what job opportunities are like for internships and support.

thanks!
im unsure whether to put Liverpool as an insurance, I was planning to put Lancaster as it.
I'm expecting to get 3 as but im just worried as i could end up with abb and then i'd have no options. however, i do art and i am pretty much guaranteed an a in that so that kinda improves my chances, im just not sure.

Hiya,

Congratulations on your offer!

As a second year, I can say that I have really enjoyed my time at Sheffield so far. It has a lower cost of living by 10% compared to the national average, making it more affordable for students and as it is a city uni rather than a campus uni, the local businesses are a lot more student friendly too. The trees in Sheffield also outnumber people so it is a great place to take breaks during exam season and exploring the city in general.

Our student union in also ranked No.1 in the country which is reflective of the wide range of sports, academic and interests societies that are on offer, making university feel a lot more like a community.

The city also has a lot to offer, in terms of food markets set up in the city centre, celebrations for religious events like Chinese New Year and Eid and is also a focal point in making the university feel like home for students. With trams and buses easily accessible, public transport is also reliable in the city.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions,
Jivanthika (2nd year computer science student)

Did you choose Liverpool or Sheffield and are you enjoying the course?

I picked Liverpool and I’m really liking it atm, it feels rlly well suited to me. I also love the desk space we have currently, and I’m pretty sure the new extension will bring lots more space soon.

Either way I know I’d have been happy at either tbh, Sheffield or Liverpool, but I think a dual honours at Sheffield would be too much work for me.
