Student Finance

Hello,
I submitted my student finance application a few days ago.My mum got an email to support my application and she has filled out her form and sent it through. My dad got an email as well but when he logged in and tried to do the application it kept saying "The details the student has given does not match yours''.
That's when i realised i had accidently wrote my dad's surname wrong so even though he had gotten the email he is unable to fill in the form since the surname i had given is different to his actual one.
I called up SFE and the lady advised me to fill out an PFF2 form which my dad did but i uploaded to MY account since that's what the lady told me to do.
When i go to my account it says awaiting sponsor 1 details but i can't do anything about that because my dad can't fill out the form. However i did submit the other evidence.
Is this fine or do i need to do more?

Hi we had the same issue. Student finance had an update this year and its caused a discrepancy when you fill out your application and it doesnt quite match. loads and loads of people have had exactly the same problem. I found this on facebook support page on student finance and lots have had the same thing.

All it was daughter put my first and last name in the application, but my account has first name, middle name and last name. Because she missed my middle name it was not 'matching'. You and your mum need to download the PFF2 form, fill it in and then you upload supporting evidence on your account (not your mums). We did not have to put in our earnings, since they check via the national insurance number. What the PFF2 does is have your customer reference number (CRN) your parents crn number, and then the relevant bits and bobs address, national insurance number of your parents etc, and then student finance can marry the customer reference numbers up and process the application.
We submitted our pff2 and daughter uploaded around 10 days ago and shes had an email to say evidence submitted, and one just yesterday to say they are processing it and will take around 6 weeks.
