Nottingham accommodation

Hello! I received an offer for accommodation at Nottingham Two and was looking at the location on Google Maps. It's near Ilkeston Road. I just got scared since the event last year where some students were killed by some crazy idiot. Is that something to be concerned about if I decide to live there? I don't know if Nottingham might be a good choice given this insecurity. I also want to feel calm and not scared about these issues.

Hi. Sadly things like that can happen anywhere at any time. My eldest has a couple of friends at Nottingham & they are very happy there.
Maybe it would help to visit the location of the halls? Maybe it's worth having a chat with the accommodation office. Explain your fears & they may be able to reassure you or move you.
Ultimately you have to feel comfortable and happy with where you are going to be for the next few years.

Hiya, 2nd year student at UON here. The event last year was horrible and really shook the student community. However, I still feel very very safe living in Nottingham. I hope it does not put you off the city. If you really hate where you live, the accommodation services are amazing and can set you up in halls temporarily until you find somewhere else to live. I was on campus in my first year and I really loved it.
