sussex uni volleyball

I'm 5'11, a girl and i enjoy playing sports and i've always thought volleyball looked pretty cool. I tried finding clubs in my area but no luck which therefore means I have no experience when it comes to playing.
If anyone goes to Sussex uni, do you have any idea about the volleyball team is like?
How popular is it?
What reputation the team has? Players + coach
If any experience is required or can I just turn up and learn?
On the website it says if you didn't join the university team, you still participate in a local volleyball league - so this implies there are some sort of trials to go through right?

If anyone has any experience, i would be so grateful
