Help!! I need to do volunteering for DofE

Im doing the bronze dofe award and i literally cant find volunteer work! Ive applied to oxfam, the red cross, my local library etc. but i keep getting rejected 😭 I haven't spoken to my dofe leader about it because he's not very helpful and a bit mean. I do stuff in school like student council and youth svp but i was told i cant use either since its not 1hour a week. My original gig at a care home near my school got ruined by the school chaplain because she told them not to let me start until she contacts my parents to double check that they're aware (they already signed the permission slip and emailed the manager). She never actually called my parents and somehow lost my application form. They're pretty busy so every time i go back there its never a convenient time and when i finally managed to get another application form, the school chaplain said i went behind her back to apply again even though she said she had to contact my parents first. Now im pretty sure the manager is mad at me for wasting his time and I literally can't find anywhere else thats so willing to hire a year 10.
I need to get this section completed asap since my dofe leader said we must have everything complete by the expedition date (im already late starting). I've already bought everything and this is something I've wanted to do for such a long time so im really hoping i dont get kicked off 😭😭

when I did dofe I couldn't do in person volunteering due to covid so I ended writing letters poems and drawing pics to ppl in care homes it was all done via online so I could do 1 each week as there was no need for me to visit any place or anything

Do you do any sports or other extracurricular activities where you could ask? I helped some of the coaches at our local athletics club once a week, quite a few years ago though so I’m not sure if there have been any changes to the rules as to what can count for volunteering
