not a great start to this promise because cramps are being a real interference, but today if can get out of bed i plan to:

- practice writing infodump answers to my predicted irp general conversation questions
- make 1-2 subtheme knowledge sheets to revise content
- practice 1-2 stimulus cards based on those ^ subthemes
- make progress on filling in my sketchbook annotations

quite worried about my spanish oral exam being next friday and then my 3 day art exam being monday-wednesday because i am not prepared for either and there’s still a lot to do !!

hopefully can get a decent amount of work done today

how did it go?

thanks for checking in !!
in the end i managed to:

write 3 answers to my predicted questions (and have planned it so that i can get them all done by tuesday, so leaving me 2 days to revise them/extra)

currently finishing up the second knowledge sheet

only practiced 1 stimulus card (as i haven't finished the second sub theme yet - will probably be too tired to do a stimulus card once i finish this though ahh)

didn't write any sketchbook annotations butt I think I will do at least a little once this sheet is done (the art student urge to stay up all night to catch up is there.. but i need to think responsibly)

i did struggle to stay concentrated so i'll try and find a way to fix it tomorrow?
have a good night !!

hello!! i also do aqa ahh I'm really happy to have found a community of a level spanish takers on tsr (especially since my sixth form class consists of me and one other student, so it felt like I were one of the only students to take it haha)
spanish a level as a whole is very interesting (of course very challenging) and i enjoy it, other than my fear of speaking and the amount of vocabulary to keep up with... when is your speaking exam? because yes they are so soon!! i'm honestly so nervous because i feel a little behind with the preparation of it - but i'm trying my best to prepare for it and hopefully will be prepared by friday !! how is it on your end?

I've been so busy preparing for my speaking exam that I've had no time to even update this !
Exam is tomorrow.
How do I feel? So much better than the start of the week.

Overall I have:

Revised the 12 topics and made content sheets

Prepared the IRP presentation (around 1 minute 30 seconds)

Practiced predicted questions

Photocards (and 3 with a teacher)

I feel much more prepared thanks to practicing some predicted questions. despite the fact that who I was doing it with was not a spanish-speaker, it still tested my knowledge.

Tonight I will:

make sure I have covered all areas of my headings by a few more predicted questions

2/3 photocards on my weakest areas (and go over any notes I've made if necessary)

read through possible spontaneous photocard questions

read through some relevant articles for more recent awareness/knowledge

and sleep by 10.30!!
oh and go over any years I need to remember because I always forget them

i did everything i set myself up to last night + four more predicted questions. my exam is at 14.00 and i’ll have a few hours before the exam and in the car (1 hour to get to the examination centre) - i think i’ll dedicate this to reading recent news articles that relate + reading through my notes and speaking phrases & vocab.

haven't updated this in a while too busy again ahh, anyway:
i did my 3 day art exam last week and it went pretty well!! so art is now complete and am hoping for an A
now the focus is on maths...
pretty much have a month until my first maths a level which i'm worrying for because I have had no time to do practice papers for it due to spanish and art and am not very confident in the papers.
I did the 2022 pure 1 paper and I really struggled with it so I spent yesterday and today going through it with help from a written mark scheme and tonight i am going to do the same paper in timed conditions again (although there are 3 questions I need to ask a teacher about).
What I'm going to do is do a past paper, go through it with the mark scheme and make sure I understand each question completely, then re-do the paper until I have the result I need (a secure B) - hopefully this works !!

so far with maths papers I've completed the 2022 paper, gone through it, re did it and got an A. then last night I did the second 2022 paper but I marked it and am not happy with the result and there are many questions I need to learn from - so tomorrow I will go through it and re do it on sunday.
right now my brain is clumsy and I'm tired so I'm going to start spanish paper 2 revision, rather than focusing on maths.

a few questions from a shadow paper of the first maths paper I did

start making mind maps on la casa de bernarda alba or el laberinto del fauno

make a sheet of all the maths formulas I need to learn (especially trig identities and modelling-related equations)

two exams left !!!
spanish paper 2 tomorrow, maths paper 3 thursday .
this morning (up until lunch) i did a maths paper 3 mock paper , then since then i've gone through symbolism and characters for tomorrow .
now I'm writing timed essay plans for the 2022 paper 2 questions, then:

write a timed essay for ELDF (have written more essays on LCDBA)

plan more essays on questions i've noted down from people's quizlets

read through a few quotes i naturally remember but don't remember fully - if i have any time spare, but i probably won't

and most importantly (albeit the most difficult) : go to sleep at a decent time !!!

feeling very unsure about maths paper 3 . i've done many questions on both statistics and mechanics but it's like there's always some new part i didn't think about doing that was the answer and going through the ms like is there an end to these new methods and ways round it ? when will i understand it fully like i'm supposed to ? so yeah tricky tricky ...

2023 statistics paper

mock set 4 mechanics

go through previous questions i've done and the corrections

sleep at a good time !!
