Hey @Showsang, congrats on receiving your offers! 🙂

Just wanted to highlight some of the things we offer our MBA students at Herts:

Access to a career coach who will support you with sessions on personal branding, personal impact, difficult conversations and more!

During the course of your MBA, you will be involved in a 6-month Young Enterprise Programme which is quite distinct from a traditional work placement. You’ll establish and manage your own business or social enterprise and gain first-hand experience in the business world.

Considering we're based outside of London, accommodation around our University tends to be a lot more affordable than those you'd find in the big city (& if you desire the bustling nature of a big city, we're only a 25 minute train ride away from central London!)

There are many part-time opportunities in and around Herts, which our Careers and Employment team can help you with - click here for more info.

I'd also recommend checking out our MBA alumni stories which you can fine here (in the Employability section).

I hope this helped! Once again, congrats on receiving your offers - we'd love to see you at Herts! 🙂

Hi @Showsang,

Great news on your offers to study for the MBA!

To add to Juan's comments, I wanted to let you know that we have a couple of online events coming up that might be useful for you - the first is a live chat on 24 April, where you'd be able to chat to our accommodation team, as well as current postgrad students. The second is our open event that takes place over the course of w/c 17 June - at this one, you will be able to speak directly to course leaders and ask about career opportunities. You can book for these events on our postgrad events page.

Students at Herts have great options for part-time work, both on and off campus. There are lots of on-campus opportunities that can really work with the study balance, as they can be done from your room or on the uni site. Do take a look at our part-time work page for more detail and examples of jobs.

Finally, I just wanted to highlight some of our postgrad study credentials, so that you can be assured of the quality of the MBA that you would be gaining:

Reputation - Herts is ranked 2nd for overall satisfaction in the most recent Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey

Employment prospects - 93% of our postgraduates are in work or further study within 15 months of finishing their degrees

World-leading research - you would be joining an institution with 78% of its research ranked as world-leading or internationally excellent, according to the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF, 2021). Herts is also in the top 25% of UK unis for business and management research impact (REF, 2021).

Location - our close proximity to London opens up a wealth of study, social and career opportunities.

These are just some of the reasons why Herts would be a great choice. We'd urge you to join our online open events so that you can get a real feel for the quality of the teaching and outstanding facilities and opportunities that would be available to you.

Let us know if you have any other questions, and all the best with your decision :-)
