friend reccomends doing AS maths past papers + a level ones

i dont see a point in doing the AS papers bcs theyre y12?? but should i stilll do them im in y13 about to sit a levels

Are you in a part of the UK where you actually take AS papers which contribute to your final A level grade? (In Wales and Northern Ireland you take AS papers at the end of year 12 and A2 papers at the end of year 13, combined to give you an A level. In England you take A level papers only, which cover both years.)

In other words, have you actually taken an official AS level already in Maths, or only internal exams at the end of year 12 marked by your school / college?
