GCSE Art Exam Prep Book

Alright I’ve got a week until my art exam, and then after I can’t add to my exam prep book. Does anyone know how many pages of this book were expected to complete? Or how many have you done? I don’t care about art at all, but would like a 7 just to complete a good set of grades overall and have no clue how to achieve this.

what my school did is 6 pages.
1- general ideas around the theme
2- art based on our art trip of other artists stuff on the theme
3- artist studies of our choice
4- object drawing of a metaphorical idea of our theme
5- experiments with materials or ideas
6- planning final piece

if you want a 7, it heavily depends on your coursework. what did you get as your coursework grade and what exam board?

Our coursework hasn’t been marked yet, and I’m doing Eduqas. However, I’m predicted a 7, but I don’t feel confident in it. It might just be because of how much I hate the subject though, not sure.

oh very different board from mine haha, coming from someone who got grade 9 in art, i can defo tell u that if you just ask ur teacher what to improve on in your work and actually do it, they'll give u ur predicted grade

For my coursework book, I've filled the whole sketch book and done around 5 large paintings. Compared to my exam book, I've got around 40+ pages (to be fair it's mainly waffle). I would say to get a grade 9 I'd say you should do at least 20 pages but a grade 7 might just be around 10 pages. :smile:
