am i just distracted or really not interested in the course i am doing??

Actually, i have been doing this diploma course which is said to be one of the toughest in our contry and i gave the exam (my first attempt, as its tough people usually take 2-3 attempts to get clear) but i failed. Now its been a month since i am again studying to give second attempt. But the problem is that i am really not so much engaged in it. I find myself distracted by youtube rather than watching video lectures or i just sleep. When i was preparing for my first attempt it was the opposite, i used to be focused and dedicated. i am having so many thoughts so i really dont know if i should continue studying this or just take another course. is it just a temporary burn out? or am i really not intrested anymore? what should i do?

I'd say remove one and see if you still have the other. Remove distractions, see if you're still uninterested. Remove the diploma course, see if your still distracted (sleeping and watching YouTube like you say). I think try the former to be safe, don't quit just yet. Look after your mental health and journal how you feel too, that's key to this
