Sometimes a girl joins me and my friend when walking home because her mum lives in the same town as us. She's quite pretty and popular. She's more friendly with my friend than me because they had a class together during GCSEs.
Anyways I normally keep quiet because I don't have anything to say during their conversations, which i don't mind because then i don't have to listen and i can just relax on the train. But when my friend talks about a mistake she made or an awkward moment she encountered - or something thats meant to be funny, the girl would just talk to her like a pet like "noo gracie". Her name isn't grace but you get the idea. She talks to her like she's a child or that my friend doesn't know any better so sometimes i chime in every now and then so the other girl feels like shes wrong. I had to say the stuff in a nice way of course because i couldn't tell if my friend liked being treated like this as she's a people please. Not only does the girl treat her like a pet but she rolls her eyes alot when my friend gets something wrong.
Then a couple months my friend starts talking sh*t about her and i'm like thank god, she didn't like it either, it wasn't just me.
Idk if its common for girls to act condescending or have a superitoty complex. All my friends are so down to earth and very nice. But it just seems like half my school is like that - do they realize how horrible they are and how they invalidate others or are they stupid
