Paper 3 Law (Contract model answer) 18.04.24

What I plan to do 14.04.24
(Number of importance with 1- most)
3. Politics: Seneca for 2 areas
1. Law: Evaluation Criminal question, Diminished Responsibility, (revision cards)
2. English: Paper 3 PoD exemplar 2017

What I did complete
Law: Murder (revision cards)
Reflection of 13.04.24
I am a little disappointed that I only completed one Law revision task. On the bright side I did begin on the Politics tasks. I tried planning a socialism question and even though I went over it with my Tutor, I am still not confident with it. I did read an article about socialism and equality.

Concerns
Timing
Knowledge

Questions I have for my teachers
Where would it be most appropriate to use Robert Owen in a socialism ideology question? Would I use him in the same way I would use Adam Smith?

I think the only main difference between AQA ideologies and Edexcel are the marks. AO1: understanding/ knowledge ao2: Analysis and AO3 evaluation.
My teachers are quite strict on including agreeance and disagreeance in each paragraph.
One thing about about ideology questions, that I don't understand, is how to effectively use the thinkers. Especially in situations where Disraeli (One-Nation conservative) is not a key thinker or the feminist thinkers aren't within a strict strand.

I can PM you one of my ideology essays if you want ? I have a couple where I got A/A*s, then you can see how ive used the thinkers?

1. Politics: Continue planning essay for Paper 1
3. Law: Go over Murder questions
2. English: 2020 echo love exam plan- Rossetti

What I did complete I completed all of what I wanted to for the 14.04.24.
Reflection of 14.04.24 I am quite proud of myself for completing things, although it does panic me how unprepared I am for the tests tomorrow. I’ve started the plans for the 2020 politics paper that I was meant to complete on the 13.04.24. I woke up quite late so I missed ‘Sunday with LK’ so I watched the beginning of it, I’ve also listened to some other politics podcasts.
This does not relate to my academics but does make my life feel free: I’ve cleaned my room, changed my bed sheets. This makes it easier for me to visualise what I need to get done and like they say clean room, clean mind.
Concerns Making sure I give my self time away from studying so I don’t over work myself and I can tend to my other priorities.
Questions I have for my teachers I had difficulties answering this question, I found that it was difficult to form points that supported the government legislation argument (besides the Human Rights Act 1998).
‘Evaluate the view that the various electoral systems in use in the UK make significant differences to party representation.’

Practice Exams coming up:
Paper 3 Law (Contract model answer-MisRep) 25.04.24

What I plan to do 18.04.24 (Number of importance with 1- most)
1. Politics: Paper 2 plan source question
2. English: Watch Streetcar 1951, Babylon the Great Fact sheet

What I did complete
I completed all of what I wanted to for the 15.04.24 and I continued to work on my revision for politics and English literature.
Reflection of the week so far I did not cover all the practice plans I could have do for Paper 1 politics however the ones I did cover luckily showed up on the paper. When I say luck I mean luck, I literally only did one source question plan with the source at hand, and it came up. It was lucky although I did not finish either question, to the point I missed out the intro. There were also some benefits and negatives for the English one too, which I did today. Overall, I am still immensely proud with how I tackled it today because last year I wouldn’t even have been able to come up with the knowledge.
Concerns Spacing out my revision and figuring out what will be the most helpful in the little time I have left. To try and stay consistent. I need to spend more time do timed assessments for Politics and Literature.

I watched the 1951 Kazan production of Streetcar. It made me really want to explore the queerness of Blanche as a character, which I might do later this following week.

Good Things that happened this week
My pen pal finally responded. It'd been a while so it was nice to hear back from them.
