Manchester uni-How much is it

Ok if anyone could reply soon I will love you so so much!! Basically I’m about to apply for my firm and insurance, pretty sure about having Sheffield as my insurance, debating about my firm. I’m leaning heavily to Manchester BUT when I visited I didn’t LOVE the place, I really liked the student area but I just thought maybe the city was a bit too busy and crowded (although it was an open day that the whole world went to and it was 30 degrees+ so it felt horrible), I’m ngl I’m quite an awkward guy, sociable once you get to know me (cliche I know)and I like nights out but clubbing and raved aren’t really my scence, I’ve heard so many great things but Is it always that nuts and packed?? Also my other choice would be Nottingham (I stupidly only looked at the beautiful uni and not really the city) and is that much better !??? Thanks SO SO much if anyone could respond, I will love you forever !!

i had the same deliberation, between Nottingham and Manchester, went on to firm Manchester in the end and I have not looked back since. After visiting both, I found that Nottingham just felt small and quiet compared to the big city in Manchester. Personally I saw it as an opportunity to live in a big city and have a new experience, but I can certainly reassure that Nottingham is a little bit calmer and quieter, while still being a lively city. The city links there are very good, however I was put off by the fact that the majority of self-catered en-suites are in the city, not the campus. As for Manchester, I personally intend on spending the majority of my time in the campus area and only going to the city for nights out or events, so I'm not too bothered about the hustle and bustle of the city, because campus just seemed so student-dominated and friendly, but that's just what swayed me. Granted my visit to the Jubilee campus was on a rainy day, and the walk between buildings just felt a bit too far for bad weather if you know what I mean. Anyways, feel free to DM, I was in the same sitch not too long ago
