Do universities retain a copy of your application/data when applying through UCAS?

Hi,

If you apply through UCAS for a 2024 start date, do the universities you have applied to keep a record of your application/personal data in future years?

Furthermore, if they do retain a copy of your application/personal data, can you request to have it removed entirely so they have no copy of your personal information/qualification on file and you are effectively starting from scratch if you decide to reapply?

UCAS retains a copy of your data for 10-15 years and will match future applications to it when they’re sent to universities.

Each university will have their own retention policy for applicant data.

What exactly are you worried about?

If you attempt to lie / omit stuff in a subsequent application, be aware that any attempt at duplication fraud will be immediately spotted by UCAS.
