If you’ve been withdrawn then normally regulations would require you to reapply to rejoin the course. This is why it’s ALWAYS preferable to suspend your studies instead of withdrawing.
I know now, unfortunately at the time I was struggling a lot with personal circumstance and very poor mental health as a result and didn't realise I had the option to suspend and repeat the year then so withdrew.

Sorry my comment wasn’t meant as a criticism - more a plea to anyone reading who is thinking of leaving their course to ask about suspending first. Talk to your university registry team about whether resuming your studies is an option.

No worries, I understand where you're coming from. I wish someone has said that to me before I made the decision to leave. I've spoken to the admissions team and it seems to be against usual policy to allow people back after leaving unless they reapply as you said so I assume the university registry team would say the same?
