I lied to my boyfriend and we broke up how do I get him back?

I lied to my boyfriend and he thought I was 17 but I'm actually 16, I told him that I was 16 the other day and we've been talking for 2 months and recently got together. He is 19 turning 20 in October and I'm 16 turning 17 in August but that is also a big deal for him because of the age gap. He broke up with me because I lied when I didn't mean to lie and because of the age gap. What can I do to get him back? I need help please.

I wouldn't get back with him, he broke up with you because he found the age gap a big deal and thats a valid reason. If you tried talking to him and he still doesn't want to get back with you - just move on. As harsh as this sounds, he wants to move on and so should you.

This is gonna sound heartless but i mean it in a nice way, it's only been 2 months, you will find someone else. I don't think getting together would be a good idea especially when he broke up with you because that you lied by ur age - i know that ur close to turning 17 but he probably thought that you were 17, close to turning 18 which would have resulted in a 2 year age gap nearly if that makes sense. It sounds like it's partly age gap, partly because he can't trust you. If you lie about something as fundamental as age, what else could you be untruthful about?
