Career as what?

In finance but undecided in which specific area yet. Many options interest me such as investment banking, accounting, consulting.

Accountancy it doesn't really matter where you study, but an A&F degree may give you some exemptions from professional exams. Investment banking and management consulting don't care what you study but do care where you study so you really want to aim for a target uni - which LSE is, but Exeter isn't.

Either way LSE seems more aligned with your goals, unless you specifically wanted to do an economics degree and go into an economics related area (e.g. the government economics service - management consulting, investment banking, and accountancy are not economics related fields...).

Most of which you could do with a degree in a non-related subject - Finance graduate schemes 2024 | Prospects.ac.uk
