Intro- mention what school you go to currently, what courses you currently study, brief summary of what you would like to study
(I’m assuming your doing a levels for sixth form or something similar)
1 paragraph per subject:

•

What do you enjoy about the subject now if you’re doing it already? Or if its a new subject what made you interested to study it?

•

What skills do you have which makes you a strong candidate for this subject?

•

What activities have you done relating to this subject? Competitions? Clubs? Hobbies? Work experience? Events? Online courses? Memberships to societies or magazines?

•

What are your future goals relating to this subject? If you’re not sure then maybe waffle about transferable skills and keeping your options open.

Then 1 paragraph on interests outside what you want to study

Hobbies

•

Charity work

•

Work experience

•

Clubs

•

School council

Make sure to focus on what skills these things gave you and why you enjoy them, this shows the sixth form you have a wide range of interests and skills outside your academic profile.

Assuming this is for an application to a sixth form college?
You could talk about a diverse mix of hobbies that demonstrate you have a lot of interests and manage your time well, this is helpful for the College when they consider your skills like resilience and engagement. (debating, sports, music, volunteering, poetry, etc)

You can also talk about your aspirations for the future if you have decided what you want to study later on in University and how you are planning to get there.

You could talk about positions of responsibility you’ve held previously- school council, head boy/girl, etc, and what that has taught you about teamwork, Colleges value that greatly.
