Tutoring in year 10

I am in year 10 and want to start tutoring 1 or 2 hours a week to make some money. I am predicted grade 9s in all of my GCSEs and my classmates tell me that I am very good at teaching and explaining topics to them which they don't understand. I think I have enough time in my week to give up 1 or 2 hours for tutoring. Ideally I want to tutor some younger students.

Am I too young to start tutoring?
How can I find students?
Are there any platforms that enable people of my age to start tutoring?
Are there any other ways for me to make money apart from tutoring?

Hi, I am also in Year 10 and I was in a similar position to you - you're not too young to tutor as where I work there are some Y9s who also tutor (albeit very young children). If you want to tutor in person, what I did was get a list of potential places near me I'd like to work at and their contact details. Then email them with either a CV or if you don't know how to make them just reasons why you'd be a good fit, your predicted grades etc etc. For online tutoring, there is a website called MyPocketSkill and while I haven't personally used it, I've heard good reviews from others on there. You just need to make an account and watch the introduction video to get started. You could also self-run and advertise your own set rates, age categories etc through local community groups, social media etc. In terms of other jobs, it's incredibly difficult to find jobs for people our age (it took me AGES haha) but you could always sign up for a paper round, or through people you know just ask if they have any openings. You could also open up a second hand account and sell things e.g Vinted or Depop, but it's a lot of commitment and might not be for you. Hope this helps !

hey!! now that you're in year 11 do you still tutor? I'd like to tutor history to year 10's that don't understand how to write essays but I'm not sure if I should in year 11 with so much going on.
