IGCSE Edexcel English Literature Study advice

Hi there!
Could you all please give me advice on how best to revise for English, particularly english literature? I struggle with writing in time, and sometimes during the exam even though i have a good plan i blank out for a few minutes at a time for some reason. Does anyone know how i can improve on these? My exam is on the 13th of May. (i have a month exactly)

Just a bit of background - In my most recent mocks i am currently at 10 9s, an 8 in english language and a 6 in english literature for a total of 12 i/GCSEs. My teacher is pretty much non existent in class, and I really want to improve to move up to a grade 9 in english. Note, i do the option with only a paper 1 and then two courseworks. I got 9s in all my courseworks.

Any and ALL advice is greatly appreciated

Practice writing essays! Within the timed conditions ofcourse. And make sure you know all the texts inside out, this helps alot. Make sure you know themes and character profiles really well, and plan a whole bunch of essays. This way when you're hit with any essay question you will have the knowledge to answer it. Hope this helps!
