Scrubs as a med student

I've received offers from a few medical schools to start in September and I've been looking at one of the course documents for Southampton med school which says first year medical students have to buy 1 pair of scrubs.
I'm trying to budget for the things I'll need to buy when I get there so I was wondering if this is the case for any other med students and also how much they'll cost, where you bought them etc. Also is there a regulation colour they have to be and other rules about them? Thanks!
