Uni of Nottingham or Uni of Manchester for Economics

I've got offers for Bsc econ at UoN and BAEcon (straight Econ again) at UoM. Which option would you firm if you had those choices?

They’re both good but I would definitely choose UoN as it has a better rep for Economics. But honestly there isn’t a crazy amount of different between the two if we were looking from an employers perspective. It’s the degree in Economics that sets you apart. At the end of the day if you got a 2:1 or 2:2 at UoN but a 1st at UoM, you’re most likely to be chosen for getting the 1st.But UoN definitely gets good feedback from employers.

Hope that helps!

So you reckon employers wouldn't care too much about the uni (in this scenario as they're really similar) and more about how I did there?

Yeah personally I think so - but then again there’s a reason why Nottingham has a better rep for Economics - there is still a difference
