Unknown Chronic Illness

Hi everyone
I've been having chronic pain, stiffness, exhaustion and such terrifying numbing brain fog. I wake up in pain every day and feel tired no matter how much sleep I get. All the advice I've been given is stuff like 'keep going' and 'distract yourself' but none of that is getting to the root of why I feel this way.
It's intensified now to the point that if I do anything physical one day the entire next day I have to spend in bed. It's getting harder and harder to balance work, uni and have any sort of a social life.
I am so so desperate at this point. The doctors just keep sending me in circles, and I'm not sure how to get them to listen. I want my life back.
Anyone experienced something similar? Is there anything specific I should be doing?

I have/still do. For me, it's due to depression. Sorry you also experience this.

Just realised that I didn't mention I also get unresponsive/seizures.
I'm sorry you have depression. I've struggled with my mental health too.

What have the doctors said about the seizures? They can be a result of mental health issues as well as physical ones.

I am still on the waiting list. I'm waiting for an MRI, so nothing has been confirmed yet. But as I understand it, it's a grey area with seizures, and I want to get started with some sort of treatment, whatever that may be.
I've tried looking into stuff like chronic fatigue - don't want to self diagnose but what do you do when the waiting list is 4 months long!

have you checked into lupus at all? I can't remember the name but there is a type which can also cause seizures. Alternatively you might have epilepsy and epilepsy is significantly more common in people who also have a chronic illness e.g. fibromyalgia.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for all your replies. It turns out I have Functional Neurological Disorder (FND.) If anyone has advice on living with this condition let's be friends
