Please help me 😢 (long, sorry)

Hi, I’m not sure why I’m writing this, I just need someone to talk to about this.

So basically, i gave in my options form a little while ago. I chose to do French (EBACC), Performing arts, sports science, RS and geography as a reserve option. My form was in late because my parents wouldn’t sign and I had meetings with my HOYs and Pastoral leader as my tutor wasn’t in. They helped a bit, but I was still really upset. Eventually, my parents signed and I thought it was going to be okay.

I bet you’re thinking ‘what’s wrong then?’ Well, I just looked at the courses again and saw how many GCSEs these give me if I get into my first choices (not geog)
-English lit: 1 gcse
-English language: 1 gcse
-maths: 1 gcse
-science(combined): 2 GCSEs
-french: 1 gcse
-performance arts: 1 gcse equivalent
-sports science: 1 gcse equivalent
-RS: 1 gcse
My problem is that if I get onto my first choices, I will leave school with 7 GCSEs with 2 equivalents maximum. However, if I’m being honest with myself, I probably won’t pass science , so it’ll be maximum of 5/6 GCSEs with 2 equivalents.

I want to go into Drama therapy and to get there, I have to go to college/uni (obv) and they say that the entry requirements (education wise) is 5 GCSEs including maths and English Lang. Therefore, I will have the absolute minimum to be accepted and I feel like I’ll be rejected from anywhere I apply. My school offers sixth form and it also says I can have 2 to 3 A levels or equivalent to be accepted, but I’m not entirely sure how ours works.

Basically, what I’m trying to say is I feel like I’m a failure and will always amount to nothing.

If you know, please tell me:
-how to get onto drama therapy course?
-will they accept me with gcse equivalents?
-do I need a science gcse to get onto them?
-am I always gonna be a failure?
-is this the end of my life if I fail?

Thank you to everyone who stuck around to the end and maybe answered my questions. I really appreciate your help and can’t express how much it means to me. Thank you so so very much 🤍🤍🤍🤍

i don't know about drama therapy course but I think you should focus on revising gcse and try to get the highest grade possible. Cos after gcse you have like 2 months in summer to think about all these as you will have a lot of free time. Doing bad in gcse is in not end of the world, as long as you try hard enought.!! Good luck!

Thank you so much. I don’t start gcse studies until next year, but this has been useful. ❤️

as a year 11 i feel this but on another level, you just need to focus on getting your grades up and potentially science as science can literally get you anywhere i swear, and yea don't stress because mock exams are already going to take a huge toll on you trust me, its happening right now- either way i hope you get what you want 🤗
